Do you like singing? Have you always felt like a Beyoncé at heart? Have you ever been interested in the idea of a cappella (yes, just like Pitch Perfect)? Then this society could be just the one for you!
With two groups- one auditioned, and one un-auditioned, and both mixed gender- there's something for everybody in the A Cappella society. Our society takes trips to a cappella competitions across the UK, holds socials including carvery visits and movie nights, hosts workshops with a cappella professionals and countless performance opportunities, striving to be a second home for anybody who wants to join.
We have loads of performance opportunities throughout the year including hosting our own winter and summer concerts. We strive to busk weekly in Kingston and perform throughout the university too. We compose our own arrangements, ranging from Frank Sinatra to Westlife all the way to Les Misérables!
We meet once a fortnight for fun, singing, and sharing our love for a cappella! If you really love a cappella and want to be more involved then there is an opportunity at the beginning of the year to audition for our competitive group, The Kingstones. This group will meet twice a week to work on our close-knit harmonies and exciting choreography as we strive to perform at a competitive level!
So come on down to a rehearsal - you're guaranteed to have the time of your life with us!
We will be meeting every other week on Wednesday, 6-8pm, and the location will be confirmed at Fresher’s Fayre 2018!
