Fairtrade
Choosing Fairtrade means standing with farmers for fairness and equality, against some of the biggest challenges the world faces. Fairtrade means fairer pay and more power in the hands of farmers, so that they can build a fairer future for their communities and create change for us all, from investing in climate friendly farming techniques and clean water for their community, to nurturing women leaders and making sure children get an education. By working with Kingston University, we are supporting our ambitions to meet the UN's Sustainability Development Goals and examinig the role we both play in challenging equality and fairness right here on our campus, through the services we run, the providers we choose, the campaigns we launch and the activity we deliver.
UKS is proud to be working alonside Kingston Univeristy on its journey to gain fairtrade accreditation. we've already worked with KU to acheive it's 1* accreditation from our collaboration across the 2020-2022 academic years, becoming the 3rd institution in London to achieve this award. you can check out the work we did, by reviewing this report
