HEALTH & SAFETY : WHAT WILL I FIND HERE?

Here you will find all the information about what SWG is, why they are important as well as how to contribute to the growth and improvement of all societies as a whole. It is highly recommended to read through the material on this page so that you can make informed decisions while leading your society.
If you are interested in finding out who your society's SWG Representative or that you would like to apply for one of the roles then reach out to the Societies Development Coordinator, you can contact them at societies@kingston.ac.uk.

SWG stands for Society Working Group, they are a group made up of 5 elected representatives, the Activities Sabbatical Officer, the Societies Development Coordinator, and the Societies Office Assistant. The five elected representatives each represent one type of society we have here at UKS (Academic, Arts & Activities, Cultural, Faith, and Liberation & Campaigns). One duty of SWG is to discuss applications from prospective societies as well as applications for additional funding from our current societies. Their other duty is to feedback around the current state of societies and how well the processes work as well as give their opinion on the projects being worked on by the Societies Office.
