About us

Union of Kingston Students is a registered charity whose student members democratically lead the organisation, supported by a team of permanent staff who are responsible for the operation and management of the union. The student members are represented at all levels of decision making within the union and the university, supported by the union’s staff team. The elected student representatives sit on various boards and committees to represent the views of Kingston University students.


American Football Offensive Coach

We are currently looking for an Offensive Coach for our American Football Team. A few responsibilities of this position will be as follows;

  1. Plan and deliver high quality training sessions for the American Football Club that will ensure the development of all players and progress towards the set goals.
  2. To encourage a performance ethic and environment that encourages high attendance at training sessions.
  3. To be responsible for the safety of all participants including ensuring the safe use of equipment.
  4. In consultation with the president and captain of the committee, to be responsible for team selection including determining a selection process and providing feedback to those not selected.

This role is on a 24 week contract, with salary to be agreed. You must have a minimum of Level 1 coaching qualification

American Football Defensive Coach

American Football Head Coach

We are currently looking for a Head Coach for our American Football Team. A few responsibilities of this position will be as follows;

  1. To plan and deliver high quality training sessions for the American Football Team that will ensure the development of all players and progress towards the set goals.
  2. To encourage a performance ethic and environment that encourages high attendance at training sessions.
  3. To be responsible for the safety of all participants including ensuring the safe use of equipment.
  4. In consultation with the president and captain of the committee, to be responsible for team selection including determining a selection process and providing feedback to those not selected.
  5. To ensure a consistent approach and coaching philosophy across all teams.

This role is on a 24 week contract, with salary to be agreed. You must have a minimum of Level 1 coaching qualification

Netball Assistant Coach

We are currently looking for an assistant coach for our Netball Team. A few responsibilities of this position will be as follows;

  1. Plan and deliver high-quality training sessions for the Netball Club that will ensure the development of all players and progress towards the set goals.
  2. To encourage a performance ethic and environment that encourages high attendance at training sessions.
  3. To be responsible for the safety of all participants including ensuring the safe use of equipment.
  4. In consultation with the president and captain of the committee, to be responsible for team selection including determining a selection process and providing feedback to those not selected.

This role is on a 14 week contract, with salary to be agreed. You must have a minimum of Level 1 coaching qualification

We are looking forward to appointing External Trustees and Sub Committee members who can provide us with the strategic ability, financial acumen and experience of organisational growth to help us create an exceptional Students’ Union that our students can be proud of. We are particularly interested in candidates for our external trustees with strong experience within HR and People and Culture and candidates with experience of income generation (this could be from commercial growth, service development/innovation, bid writing or fundraising).

We are looking for specialist experience within our sub committees and we are looking for candidates with particular experience of accountancy/auditing, employment law as well as income generation within a commercial setting.
