Challengers is an independent charity that provides Play and Leisure services to over 1400 disabled children and young people across Surrey, Hampshire, West-Sussex and Berkshire.
Our missions is to provide truly inclusive, fun and safe places where all disabled children and young people can spend time with their friends – to offer a positive impact for families and the wider community.
Challengers has developed a toolkit through a pilot to help us gain feedback from the children and young people that use our service. The aim of this project is to gain continuous feedback from the children and young people that use our schemes to use in future development and improvement of the service.
The role of a research volunteer is to visit our schemes to gain feedback about Challengers schemes from the children and young people. They will carry out informal interviews, questionnaires and/or play games and activities aimed at soliciting feedback about Challengers and the activities we run. They will be fully supported by our Challengers engagement assistant while on scheme.
Interviewers should aim to talk to as many of the young people on scheme as possible during their visits, so the Study will include Children and Young People from all our schemes including;
