Union of Kingston Students is a registered charity whose student members democratically lead the organisation, supported by a team of permanent staff who are responsible for the operation and management of the union. The student members are represented at all levels of decision making within the union and the university, supported by the union’s staff team. The elected student representatives sit on various boards and committees to represent the views of Kingston University students

Disability History Month Assistant

A fantastic opportunity has become available in the Student Voice team to help deliver this year’s Disability history month. If you are passionate about issues and campaigns surrounding disability history and you have an understanding/experience of working within the community then this could be the role for you!
We are looking for an organised, friendly and passionate individual to help deliver all disability history month events that will happen during November-December 2019.

Term time hours
£10.55 p/h plus holiday pay.

The closing date for this role is 9:00 am on Friday 8th November 2019. Please note the interviews are scheduled Monday 11th November. Start date is Monday 18th November.

Student Panel Member 

Only avaliable to Senior Course Reps or Postgraduate Course Reps. 

A unique opportunity has become avaliable to work with the Union of Kingston Students and the Academic Registry as a student member of either a validation or Inerntal Subject Review (ISR). You will be treated as a full and equal panel member and be able to have your say during the meeting and use your experience of being a student to examine the papers and provide the panel with both the student perspective and student experience. ISRs usually last a day and will be held sometime in the Spring depending on avaliabiliy. You will be paid the full panel member rate of £150 per day. All training will be provided by UKs and the Academic Registry, which must be attended before you will be eligable to become a panel member.

The closing date for this role is Friday 15 November 2019. Please note, if selected, you will be required to attend the training provided by UKS and the Academic Registry on Friday 22 November at 10.30am-1.30pm
