We are pleased to announce Wonderfair is taking place again this year!

Wonderfair is a night of celebration, games, culture and fun hosted by multiple societies all in aid of a good cause.

This year wonderfair is taking place:

DATE: Friday 24th November 2017

VENUE: Union Social Space, Penrhyn Road Campus

TIME: 5pm - 8pm

PRICE: £2 per ticket - purchase from union reception now

Last year 15 societies came together to host a night of performance, games, food and challenges but also to have a great time and celebrate their societies together. All proceeds of the event went towards helping fund immunotherapy treatment for an ex union staff member.

Mo Haque, former student development director is currently battling stage 4 bowel cancer and every penny counts towards funding the costly immunotherapy. Over £500 was raised and you can find more information about Mo’s story in this week’s release of the student newspaper, the River.

It was such a success that the union has decided to run it annually with a different charity being chosen by poll for the proceeds to go towards. This year the chosen charity is Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH)

You can read more about them here: http://www.gosh.nhs.uk/

Should societies raise the same amount this year for GOSH, £500 would help fund a vital signs monitor, £250 would help fund a playroom or £100 would help fund an intensive care ventilator system.

The full schedule will be coming soon!

Tickets are only £2 and can be purchased now from the union reception desk at Penrhyn Road.
