Who we are

We are the KU Bible Reading Club, and we love the Bible! We are a group of believers in Christ open to all those wanting to know more about God and the Bible. We love the Lord Jesus and come together regularly to enjoy God and study His Word.

Why should you read the Bible?

Charles Dickens saidThe New Testament is the very best book that ever was, or ever will be known in the world.” We agree. It may easily be the best-selling book of all time and yet also one of the most unread and misunderstood.

It took 40 authors including Kings, shepherds, and farmers to write the Bible over 1600 years. It is not just a book of history, ethical teaching or good literature. Jesus said: "the words which I have spoken to you are spirit and are life" (John 6:64).

Gandhi said “You Christians look after a document containing enough dynamite to blow all civilisation to pieces, turn the world upside down and bring peace to a battle-torn planet. But you treat it as though it is nothing more than a piece of literature.” We think something should be done about this.

It’s time to read the Bible!
