‘Placing mental health and wellbeing at the heart of the University experience’
We are a newly formed, student-led society aiming to raise awareness of mental health and mental ill health, tackle mental health stigma and promote strong mental health and wellbeing.
We welcome anyone and everyone, whether you suffer from mental ill health, know somebody who does, or just have an interest in mental health.
Our committee ‘warriors’ have lots of exciting things in the pipeline... including regular ‘walk & talk’ groups, allowing us to connect, talk all things mental health, and walk away from shame and stigma - one step at a time... coffee and tea afternoons, fundraising days, mindfulness and wellbeing workshops, guests speakers, and a warm, informal drop-in space, ‘Pause’, offering non-judgmental support and guidance, signposting to other services, and a safe environment if you just need somebody to listen...
And there will, of course, be some stress-busting socials to bring the society to life...
Please do get in touch with us via social media or email... We’d love to hear from you!
