The October 2019/20 Sports Club of the Month is Lacrosse!

Since the start of the season both the Men’s and the Women’s team have shown an amazing commitment to lacrosse.

Each week we have had a great turn out at training and games, which has strengthened both of our teams. The Women’s teams progress has been outstanding even though we haven’t had a coach this term, but this has not slowed down the progression of the team as each week we push through. The Men’s team has really improved this season too, particularly during their last game before Christmas, only losing within the last couple of second by 1 point. This highlighted how much effort they have been putting into training and really focusing on their game tactics and communication skills.

The commitment to Movember was also very successful for the team and we managed to raise £975 for such a good cause. We hosted a pub quiz for Movember which had an amazing turnout and support from the other teams at Kingston. Although Lacrosse isn’t the most popular sport, we have put our mark on the map and will continue to push through every week.

Our spirts are never damped by losing a game, it only encourages us to work harder.
