  On Sunday Kingston Cougar Alumni Efe Obada, formerly of the London Warriors and Kingston University American Football Team (Cougars), became the first player of the NFL’s International Player Pathway Program to be active during the 2018/19 regular season, and the Nigerian-born baller did not disappoint as he produced play after play in his big-league debut!

 

Obada finished the day with a sack, an interception, and a forced fumble that was frustratingly voided by replay, and following the fixture was presented with a game ball by Panthers Head Coach Ron Rivera.

During the 2012/13 season Efe was a key part of the Kingston Cougars defense and helped the team to gain promotion from the BUFAL Thames Valley Conference, before BUAFL and BUCS merger. One of Efe's gaming winning drives came against Royal Holloway Bears, where he had a strip sack, and returned for a touchdown to help the Kingston Cougars seel a 4 score game.

“I’m over the moon,” Obada told Panthers.com “Words can’t describe how I feel right now. I’m still filled with adrenaline.”

• Thursday - Tolworth Court Sports Ground - (7-9pm) This is our midweek session where the club puts through the theory into practice from Tuesday's session.
• Sunday - Tolworth Court Sports Ground - (1-4pm) This session is on the field were the club and coaches covers more skills and techniques and tatics.
