Announcement of By-Election for Kingston Hill Officer

Following the announcement that Petar Lachev has left his role as Kingston Hill Officer, the Union would like to announce the opening of the by-election for the role.

Students can stand from today (Monday 26th November) to be the next Kingston Hill Officer. Any student can nominate themselves to run for the role. The by-election will take place over the following weeks, and the successful candidate will immediately start representing students to fill the vacant role until 30th June 2019. 

The Full timeline is:

  • Nominations will close on Monday 3rd December
  • Campaigning can start on Tuesday 4th December
  • Voting opens on Tuesday 4th December at 9am
  • Voting Closes on Thursday 6th December at 2pm
  • Results are announced on Friday 7th December

Any student, regardless of which campus they study on, can vote in this election. The student elected will have to put their studies on pause whilst they carry out the role from January – June and the SU will help in arranging this. The role of Kingston Hill Officer will also lead on a remit of ‘Student Welfare’, which campaigns and assists on issues around student life and well-being.
