the academic impact awards is also a place where we celebrate some of the great work students from each faculty have done over the year to positively impact the lives of their peers. the awards exclusively for students are:
course rep of the year
a course rep who has gone above and beyond their role to represent the student voice to the university through mechanisms such as faculty forums and student-staff consultative committees. these are students who have achieved changes in their course and listen closely to their peers to help implement change. there will be a course rep of the year for each faculty:
- *HSCE course rep of the year
- *KSA course rep of the year
- *SEC course rep of the year
- *BSS course rep of the year
criteria
- *a course rep who has shown great commitment to the role
- *a course rep who has worked hard to collect and share the views of their classmates
- *a course rep who has positively impacted the lives of their peers
eligibility
must be an elected course rep representing the faculty you select on the nomination form

school rep of the year
the school rep of the year award recognises the efforts of a school rep who has excelled in representing their school. if you know a school rep who has done a great job of championing your views, worked hard to seek the perspectives of lots of students from different courses and/or has improved the lives of people that they represent in other ways then this is the award for them.

green impact award
this award looks to celebrate a member of the KU family whose efforts make the university a greener and more environmentally ethical place. the winner of this award could be someone who challenges environmentally harmful practices, teaches a module that changes the way students thinks about their field through a greener lens or a student whose work is innovative and environmentally savvy.

our most prestigious award recognises someone who goes above and beyond to make your experience at university exceptional. this is a member of staff or student who motivates you, inspires you, makes you feel valued and is more than happy to go out of their own way to make other people's lives better. they will probably make a difference to many students and will encourage you to be the best you can be.
