Green Impact Students Union

Green Impact Students' Unions is the flagship sustainability accreditation scheme and campaign by the National Union of Students, helping Students' Unions to green their campus, curriculum and community.  For decades Students’ Unions have been at the forefront of social and environmental campaigning, and Union of Kingston Students have achieved bronze awards in Green Impact for the past couple of years and are aiming to make a bigger difference and win silver or gold!.

Green Impact provides a practical framework (achievable, measurable actions in an online workbook format) for greening Students’ Unions, covering things like collaboration, campaigning and actions to improve how goods and services are ordered, biodiversity, and much more.

With over 100 students' unions taking part and being rewarded with a Gold, Silver or Bronze award each year at NUS Awards, Green Impact is a great way to drive sustainability through your students' union.

Last year, Union of Kingston Students received a bronze award. We now want to achieve silver and why not gold! Join us to find out more about the campaigns and the actions that we need to take together for a greener Union of Kingston Students. To join the Green Impact Student Union campaign for 2016/17 please join the Sustainability Student Working Group (SSWG) who lead on the campaign annually.
