Big Student Meeting (EGM)

Due to the overwhelming number of motions at this years AGM, another Big Students Meeting (EGM) has been called by Daisy Du Toit, Penrhyn Road and Union Development Officer, for the rest of the motions to be discussed and debated. This meeting is to take place on the 9th March at 4.30pm PRJG0001

A Big Students Meeting gives all students the opportunity to implement policy through the submission of a motion.  A motion can be proposed by any student and can cover a wide range of issues.  Student input at the EGM plays a vital role in how the union organises its priorities thereafter, so it is important that students attend in order to have their say.  If a motion is passed at the EGM  then the union are mandated to facilitate it.  Please note that any motions which have financial, legal or reputation risks may be overturned by the Trustee Board.  For further information on this please contact n.forrester@kingston.ac.uk

Bringing a motion to the EGM

Submit your policy change or idea to the Union email studentsunion@kingston.ac.uk at by 2nd March at 5pm.

Motions may be submitted after this deadline at the discretion of the chair.  This is usually when events take place after the deadline date which warrant discussion at the EGM. Any emergency motions need to be submitted to studentsunion@kingston.ac.uk

No motion submitted cannot follow a course of action that works against the aims and objectives of the Union.  You can Download a motion submission form here.

Any motion that is submitted must have a person to second the motion, otherwise know as a ‘seconder’ .
